Kaisercraft Inking tutorial with Fran Tynan
Kaisercraft have released 12 new mini pigment ink pads in a range of colours…..

Check out the full range here. At only AU$1.99 they’re a great buy!!
Today we’re sharing a little inking project with Fran!
*Using die-cuts and die-cut sheets as stencils and masks*

Cards by Fran Tynan: Dear Santa papers,Ink – Lipstick (IP714) & Brown (IP702), Stamps – Loire Valley, Dear Santa, Pack Your Bags & Rewind.
Here’s how Fran created her gorgeous cards:
“I actually saw this technique on a Heidi Swapp tutorial, but I thought Kaisercraft fans would also appreciate this great technique!”
I’ve used the Kaisercraft die-cuts and die-cut sheets as the positive and negative (or “mask” and “stencil”).
Step 1:
Using the actual die-cut I placed it over the patterned paper and stamped a bunch of images over it so they overlap the edges. (I’ve used “Brown” IP702)

Step 2:
Then take the die-cut ‘sheet’ and using the same shape, place it over the space you’ve made and ink in it lightly, using a blending tool. I’ve used “Lipstick” (IP714). Place a butterfly mask in the circle and ink over it again to make it a bit darker around the mask.

Step 3:
To take this technique one step further, while you still have your butterfly mask over the area – stamp a script image (or similar) over the top lightly to add a bit more detail to the inked area.

To celebrate the release of our 12 new mini ink pads we’re going to give away a full set to one lucky blog reader!
Just comment on this post with your favourite Kaisercraft ink pad colour and how you would use it (in 25 words or less) to go in the chance to win a set.
Competition closes 9 February 2010, 10am (ADST).
