Leanne Allinson – Spring Flowers project

Here’s a quick and easy project to help brighten up your scrap space for Spring. These gorgeous scrappy flowers only took moments to make using up left over pieces of paper.

Take your choice of patterned paper and cut or punch 1 x 1.5” circle and 1 x 1”circle. Distress the edges of the circles slightly with an emery board. Select a medium Kaisercraft flower that coordinates with the paper and adhere it to the top of the 1.5” circle. Then layer the remaining circle to the top of the Kaisercraft flower to make the “Spring Flower’s” head. Take your pre-cut wooden skewer and tape to the front of a large Kaisercraft flower. Use foam tape on either side of the skewer to help secure it in place and then layer the flower head to the top.

Use the tiny alphas to display your sentiment across the flowers.

Tie the completed flowers together with a piece of string and embellish with a ribbon.

Materials used: “Hello & Welcome Spring” – Hippy Girl 6” paper pad (pp828); flowers – sunshine (f604), baby blue (f614), poppy (f610); rhinestones – wine (rs401); pearls – denium (sb782); tiny alphas – white (ma509); grosgrain ribbon – forest (ri608). Other – wooden skewers (cut to size); string; fiskars circle punch; Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

Karen Shady – Flash Cards

I have wanted to make some flash cards for my boys for a while, and these Mini and tiny alphabet stickers are perfect. I have used the “jungle bug” range of papers, and have kept the cards fairly un-embellished because my idea is to have them laminated so my boys can play with them.

Be sure to check back tomorrow afternoon for more Tiny Alpha and Mini Alpha projects!
