Did you see our blog post yesterday about our NEW Mini alpha colours and new Tiny Alphas?
If not, head back and check em out!
Today we’ve got a few more projects!
Kirsty Piper – Layout

Leanne Allinson – Layout
I love having white space on my layouts but I also love to have journaling there as well. These new tiny and mini alphas are perfect for a page where you would like to have added detail but not necessarily the clutter that accompanies it. They are especially ideal if you don’t like the look of your own handwriting but still want to document what’s happening!
I have mixed up both the mini and tiny alphas in my journaling but have still maintained some cohesion by using the same colour – cream. I have also aligned my text to the right hand side of the patterned paper so it draws the eye down the page to my title (included in the text) and the photo.
Materials used:“Jungle Bug” patterned paper collection – leafy green (p517), muddy mess (p516); 6” paper pad (pp822); mini alpha stickers – cream (ma505); tiny alpha stickers – cream (ma510); alpha stickers – brown (as225); alpha chipboard #2 (cb108); clear stamps – sheet music (cs757); ink – antique blue (ip716). Other – machine stitching; color box ink – brown; sharpie pen.
Lesley Cooper – layout
I love small letters. I actually had a look through my last 30 layouts and almost half of them have small lettering on them so I was very excited to see the mini and tiny alphas as part of the core products this month. I love that they come in a range of colours and love that the tiny ones come in 2 different fonts. So very cool.
I have used the tiny and mini alphas to journal in a circle around my title to create a different look.
“Adore” – Lesley Cooper: Mini Alpha Stickers (MA507); Tiny Alpha Stickers (MA509); Hippy Girl Patterned Paper Melody (P552), Earth (P550); Diecuts (DC324); Rub Ons (RB873).
Kerryn Lawson – layout
We’re always reminding our son to slow down when he is speaking so that everyone can understand what he is saying. He tends to rush and get excited when he speaks and I have to translate LOL.
I thought I’d have a bit of fun when creating this layout about his speech and use a packet of Mini Alphas as a part of the layout rather than just for the title. I have randomly stuck down the mini alphas in a rectangular section on my page, much as I would if I was using patterned paper.
Materials used: Mini Alpha Stickers – Cream (MA505), Secret Bird Society Patterned Paper – Sssh & Classified, Secret Bird Society 6×6 paper pad (PP827), Lush – Japonica, Lush 6×6 paper pad (PP825), Up, Up & Away paper pad (PP826), Black Alpha stickers (A226), Black Rubons – Experience (RB801) & Back to school (RB807), Clear Stamp – Dated (CS724). Other products Used; Button & string.
Nerrida Mitchell – card

Altered ‘Recipe Book’
By Trudi Harrison
From this:
SB2035 Recipe Book
To this:
I cannot believe how unbelievably quick the time has past, just seems like yesterday when I was holding my ‘baby girl’ as a newborn. This year saw my ‘baby girl’ embark on yet another journey; her school life. During the year we have accumulated school certificates of merit and some other awards. These are precious to my girl and to me – they are all proud mummy moments. She loves looking at them but I found that we were losing track of them as they weren’t always put back in the same place that they were. So to keep them altogether and other important memorabilia like reports etc, I have altered the Kaisercraft Recipe Book to store them in.
Altered Recipe Book: ‘Clever chic’ by Trudi Harrison. Materials Used: Recipe Book (SB2035); La Di Da Patterned Papers ‘Shimmy’ (P474), ‘Skip’(P472) ‘Dance’ (P473), ‘Sing’ (P475); Have and to Hold Patterned Paper, Hippy Girl Printed Chipboard (CB113), Lowercase chipboard alphas (CB101), alpha stickers –black (AS226), mini alpha stickers – black and white (MA501), Ribbon Packs – Grosgrain Candy (RI603), Organza – Natural (RI613). Other: Black Cardstock, Black Pen, Ribbon, laminator, hole punch, border punches
Showing the inside – I have made a pocket on the inside to store school reports. There is also a similar pocket on the inside of the back page for ‘Notes’ – this will hold all the precious handwritten parent invitation letters that my gorgeous girl has delivered to me throughout the year
I have divided in the following sections – Reading, Awards, English and Maths. I laminated each of the certificates then aligned them with the rings and hole punched holes to correspond. The ring binder concept allows me to add to it as the year progresses
Be sure to check back over the next couple of weeks for more inspiring and organisational projects!
