Let’s have a closer look at our layouts:

“Making a layout after a sketch is always a challenge for me, this time even bigger as I chose to go with the blues in the photo, a color I hardly ever use on my layouts. I made the bigger flowers out of layers of cardstock. I misted the background and used punched out butterflies as a mask, when the color of the mist dried I used the Script clearstamp on it with a slightly darker ink”.

Sweet Layouts from Candy Lane

Hi there. Vicki, Camilla, and Christy here with some layouts completed using the Candy Lane collection from Kaisercraft.

Vicki: I just love the flowers and the colours of this range.  It goes to show that the range is not all about the cupcakes – and with all the flowers they inspired me to do a paper trellis on the side of the layout and fill with all the gorgeous flowers.

and so to the layout

LAYOUT:  DAUGHTERS

USING CANDY LANE

BY VICKI MORRIS

Materials list: Black Cardstock, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – 6” Paper Pad, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Tutti Fruit, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Toffee Apple, Kaisercraft – Candy Lane – Strawberry Sundae, Kaisercraft – Rhinestone Strips, Kaisercraft – Candylane – Rubons, Kaisercraft – Lace (White), Kaisercraft – Rhinestones (Silver)

Camilla: The Candy Lane has a mix of softer and bolder colours. I challenged myself to use the bolder ones. The pink and the orange together make a perfect match with added spots of white and green. The black and white photo is of one of my nieces. She really is sweet as a cupcake.

Layout “Sweet as a Cupcake” – Camilla Ekman: Candy Lane papers: Raspberry Fizz (P579), Mango Drops (P576), Toffee Apple (P578); Printed Chipboard (CB117); Alpha Stickers – Fairy Floss (AS215); Mini Alphas – White & Chocolate (MA504)

Other: leaves

Christy:  If you know me in person, you’ll know that I love pink!  Candy Lane is my new all time favorite Kasier release, they really rocked this one out of the ballpark!

Supplies:  Patterned Paper: Candy Lane P576, P577, Chipboard Letters:  CB109, Alphabet Stickers:  AS216, Pearls:  SB713 Pearl, Other:  Cardstock White & Kraft

Beyond the Page with Homemade

Hi there.  Vicki and Camilla here with some storage ideas using the Homemade collection from Kaisercraft.

Vicki: I don’t know about you, but my simple sewing supplies are never where I left them.  I am forever looking for needles, pins, cottons and small scissors, so now I have now created a one stop storage unit to help me out.  The inspiration came from the gorgeous printed ribbon from the Homemade collection.

I have made a little pin cushion out of foam and placed this in a little plastic container.  I have then wrapped this ribbon around the base and left the remaining ribbon loose.   With this unit, I should hopefully now be able to find all my sewing supplies when I need them!

SEWING STORAGE DRAWS

BY VICKI MORRIS

Materials List: Kaisercraft – Storage Draws, Kaisercraft – Homemade – Pretty Patchwork, Kaisercraft – Homemade – Lovely Lace, Kaisercolour (Raw Umber), Kaisercraft – Journal Tags (Homemade), Kaisercraft – Homemade embellishment Pack- Buttons, Kaisercraft – Homemade embellishment Pack- Printed Ribbon, Kaisercraft – Mini Alphas (Chocolate), Kaisercraft – Lace (Natural Shades), Kaisercraft – Paper Flowers

Camilla: The Chest of Drawers is one of Kaisercraft’s beautiful storage items. I made this one for my daughter to keep her jewelry in. The papers from the 6″ paper pads are perfect for the fronts of the drawers. Since there is a small shelf on the top, I put some flowers and a butterfly there.

BTP “Chest of Drawers” – Camilla Ekman: Chest of Drawers (SB2088); Homemade 6”Paper Pad (PP831); KaiserColour – antique white (KC002); Pearl Strip – white (PL501)

Other: flowers, leaves, butterfly punch

Homemade with Love

Hi there.  Vicki,Camilla, and Christy here to share some layouts, using the Homemade collection recently released from Kaisercraft.

Vicki: We recently had some family photos taken and we received all these index prints so we could choose which photos we would like.  The photos are not the biggest but they were a perfect fit for the Pretty Patchwork paper from the Homemade collection.   It is from this paper that I made a little family home, complete with chimney to showcase the photo shoot.

LAYOUT – FAMILY

USING HOMEMADE COLLECTION

BY VICKI MORRIS

Materials list: Kaisercraft – Homemade – Rustic Recipe, Kaisercraft – Homemade – Toasty Treats, Kaisercraft – Homemade – Pretty Patchwork, Kaisercraft – Homemade – 6” Paper Pad, Kaisercraft – Journal Tags (Homemade), Kaisercraft – Homemade embellishment Pack- Buttons, Kaisercraft – Chipboard (Homemade), Kaisercraft – Lace (Natural Shades), Kaisercraft – Paper Flowers, Prima Flower

Camilla: This is one of my favourite photos of my children. The sephia photo goes so well with the Homemade collection. The browns, teals and blues make it pop. I hope you’ve noticed the beautiful clear stamps that go with the collection. Here I’ve used the cross-stitched heart.

Layout “Love” – Camilla Ekman: Homemade papers: Cosy cottage (P572), Rustic Recipe (P571), Lovely Lace (PS119); Die Cut Elements (DC327); Printed Chipboard (CB116); Embellishment Pack (EM936); Clear Stamp – Homemade (CS764); Journal Tags (JT607); Flowers – snow (F601); Pearls (SB789)

Other: flowers, leaves, old book paper

Christy:  One of my favorite things about the Homemade Collection just released here at Kaiser is the warm feel the papers have when worked together.  Today I’m sharing one of my favorite pictures of my Grandma and myself taken at my wedding.  This is one of the last photos we have taken together before her passing.  I think what I like best about his picture is that although she suffered with Alzheimers, the day of my wedding she was so oriented, so purposeful, so in the moment.  I am thankful for her and for that day.

 Supplies:  Patterned Papers-PS119 Lovely Lace, P568 & P570, Rub-ons:  Homemade RB879, Alphabet Stickers:  AS225-Brown, Mini Alphas MA506-Latte, Buttons:  Homemade EM936
