Altered Wood Blocks- CREATE

Christy here today sharing a home decor project.  Slowly I have been trying to do a few projects that I can use to decorate my scraproom, this happens to be one of them.  I used scrap 2×4 boards left over from a recent basement remodel project, I had the edges sanded for a clean look and feel (thank goodness for dads right?).  The first step was to paint the blocks with Kaisercraft Antique White paint, applying 2 coats.  Next  I chose and arranged my patterned papers in a way that suited my taste.  Using Mod Podge I adhered papers to the  blocks, sanding extra off loose edges of paper.  I cut all my letters and diecuts using my Cricut, applying them last and embellishing with Kaisercraft Pearls-Latte.

Material List: Patterned Paper:  Hippy Girl P554, P555- Paper Pack:  Hippy Girl PP828- Pearls:  Latte BR202- Other:  Mod Podge, Sandpaper

I love these – very creative and great use of subtle colours.

Gr8 idea for the scrapbooking room. Loved the colours but my only th0ught was that if it was moved much, the leaves on the tree would damage or bend, as one has done, on the right hand side.
