“Banner-ific” – scrap your layouts using banners, buntings and more!
Pam’s fantastic layout inspired us to share a number of projects featuring banners, buntings and more!
Pam has created her own cute banner by cutting triangles from the bright and festive pina colada paper, drawn a squigly line and pasted them on!!

Here’s what Pam had to say about making banners for your scrapbook pages,
“Banners make a fun and festive embellishment on a scrapbook page, and are so easy to make. To make my banner I glued a piece of thread across the page where I wanted to place my banner. Then I cut triangles from scraps of coordinating paper, and drew around the edges with a fine black pen. Finally I adhered the top of the triangles to the thread and curled up some of the points.”
“Banners can be as simple or elaborate as you want. Try making a double banner by attaching a slightly small triangle on top of a larger one, or embellishing each triangle with buttons or bling; or make your banner from fabric or felt for a more tactile feel to your layout.”

Another easy way to add a banner to your layout is add a strip of fozz felt! The hot pink flowered fozz felt matches the Pina Colada paper on Rona’s layout below perfectly!
Make your own “newspaper bunting”. It’s a cheap and quick way to add colour to any celebration! A tutorial is available on the maya made blog…

Or how about this gorgeous fabric bunting from The Purl Bee? Perfect for a party!

Love your layout with the banners – the bright colors and the beautiful cluster with note, birds, swirls etc.
