Beyond the Page
Hi it is Lesley here to share some Beyond the Page projects.
A few months ago my Aunty gave me some heritage photos and asked if I could do a project with them for her. The photos were of different sizes and glued onto cardboard! I knew that I would take photos of the photos and use them in other projects and the Family Tree was perfect for this extra project! I love heritage photos and marvel how some of these people I have never met are related to me and without them I wouldnt be here as me! I used a wood grain tool to create a grain effect on the trunk and branches. I also had a small sponge dauber (bell shaped) that helped immensely for getting around the curly branch parts by rolling the dauber over the inside wood edges. I also used Monika’s tip about the pearl strips being easy to use around a shape and used them to frame the photos.

I also wanted to create a journal to put inspiration into so I chose the Long Tabbed Journal for this project. It is a work in progress and now my aim is to add journaling ideas, quotes and ideas for photos, techniques, layouts and Beyond the Page projects. I have used the beautiful Lush collection to start off this project. I have covered the tab pages with the Lush collection and for the pages in between I have used a combination of scraps and torn Kraft cardstock. The cover was done using a Hot Glue Gun and paint as shown in the Tuesday Tip from 20th July.
