After Five ‘Everyday Moments’

November 12, 2010

Hello!!

Trudi and Lesley here to showcase some of those ‘everyday’ moments using the sophisticated but very versatile After Five collection.

I captured these photo’s of my youngest girl enjoying a baby chino.  For her it is more about the chocolate dusting and the marshmallow than it is about the frothy milk.

Layout ‘Baby Chino’ by Trudi Harrison

Materials Used: After Five Collection Patterned Papers Waltz (P586), Curtsy (P584), Corsage (P585), Confetti Speciality Paper (PS124), Paper Pad (PP833), Die Cuts (DC329), Journal Tags (JT609), Small Lowercase Chipboard Alphas (CB101), Chipboard Alphas #3 (CB109).

Other: White Puff Embossing Powder, White Ink, Rachael Minett Faux Metal Technique

I have kept the design elements clean and simple, with a touch of colour being added with the photo series.

Lesley: I really do love this range and the neutral colours which can be adapted for any subject and any look. I have softened it using pink and orange distress inks and glimmer mists. A piece from the Cufflinks paper with a quote was perfect to use as my Title. And I couldn’t resist using the new Pearl Flourishes, which are beautiful, to finish off the look.

I have used the tutorial that Trudi and Camilla did a few months ago to create the roses. I used white cardstock and inked the top with pink distress ink and the bottom with orange distress ink and also embossed the cardstock before I punched out the flower shapes.

The tutorial can be found here:  http://www.kaisercraft.net/blog/roses-roses-roses/.
