Family Photos

Family photos.  We all have them, little snapshots of our daily lives together.  It was this thought of snapshots that inspired me to create this photo display of my family.  I loved the layered feel to the photo display and rather than using larger photos I decided to print out several smaller photos and create a sort of mosaic with them.  “Family” by Renee Ludlow-Kaisercraft photo display, Devonshire papers, 6″paper pad, embellishment pack, die cut elements, black rub-ons, colour rub-ons, alpha stickers, chipboard alpha #1, paint (raw umber), ink pad (brown), rhinestones (copper).

To create this photo display I first painted the back and edges of all pieces in Raw Umber. I then covered using various papers from the Devonshire collection.  I printed out different sized photos (3x3in, 1x1in and other sizes in between), then  mounted these to chipboard cut to the same size and inked the edges.  I embellished with die-cut elements as well as die-cuts from the 6″paper pad.  For the flower in the corner I applied a small amount of hot glue and then squished (sorry I couldn’t think of a better word) and pinched the the flower into it.  Then I  added the lace, pearls and smaller flowers.

This photo display would make a great gift for any of those treasured members in your family.  Mine now sits proudly in the lounge room, although I am thinking of making another one for hubby to put on his desk at work (minus the lace and frills).  I hope I have inspired you to go out and give this photo display a go, I would love to see what you come up with.
