My name is Geneviève Allen. I live to Lévis, a very beautiful city just in front of Quebec (Canada)!
I am married to a man who encourages me in my passion of scrapbooking. I have 2 children and 3 grandchilds, which you can see regularly on my creations. I was lucky to be retired very early, what allows me today to dedicate a lot of time to this beautiful adventure!

How long have you been scrapbooking for and why did you start? It has been already 7 years since the scrapbooking appeared in my life. My daughter had given me a kit for the birth of her daughter Meredith. But it’s really during my first trip in Europe that I made my first album. The trip, day after day, is underlined with some photos only and I have incorporated all the papers (plane tickets, leaflets of the visits, etc.). It’s not the most beautiful albums but by looking at it, I redo my trip, because there are so details and a lot of information.
Where do you get your inspiration from: The inspiration comes especially from my visits on differents blogs. I stick mostly on small details. Magazines are also a good means to give me ideas but I realize that I don’t consult them rather often!
Favourite subject to scrap – My favorite subjects are my grandchilds in their everyday life. I like capturing these moments of happiness which their belong, it makes them a beautiful memory. My visits and my trip are also beautiful pretexts to make pages. I also choose from family photos when I mainly want to make of the shabby / vintage.
One word to describe yourself? Persevering
How would you describe your scrapping style? My style….my style…ho!! I would say that the style of my page will depend on what the photo inspires me and\or papers. I like trying differents styles and taking out of my zone of comfort.
Favourite Kaisercraft Product? The patterned papers and…the wood flourishes
Favourite Kaisercraft Paper range to date? Devonshire, Chapter One and Velvet ensemble of course!
Favourite Quote? In scrapbooking, there are never errors ( It is what I often repeat to my friends)
Favourite book? All the books of “Marc Levy”
Favourite Music? I like very much the Jazz even if I don’t know all the singer’s names… it just has to be pleasant!!!
Favourite Food? I like « pasta » under all the forms with a lot of vegetables!!
Any tips for a New Scrapper? Before making a page, choose, please, your photo. Make a good sorting. If you have to use some on your page, the practical solution is to make a mini-album on your page or still to slide them behind other photos with tags! A photo or two with a beautiful journaling is preferable rather than to have many photo and lose of the interest.
