‘Homemade’ Cuckoo Clock

Trudi here sharing another ‘Homemade’ project.  Seriously, I have to say that without a doubt, Kaisercraft always come up with the most unique Beyond The Page and Home Decor items.  This month they have released four new items including the Cupcake Stand, Chest of Drawers, Flying Ducks and Cuckoo Clock.   The new releases can be seen here. 

In an earlier post this week, Lesley showcased her gorgeous, funky cuckoo clock version  using the Candy Lane Collection. If you happened to miss it, Lesley’s version can be seen here.

Today I am showcasing the Cuckoo Clock altered with the Homemade Collection.

‘Home Sweet Home’ Cuckoo Clock by Trudi Harrison

Materials Used: Cuckoo Clock (SB2090),  Homemade Collection Patterned Papers ‘Simple Stitches’ (P568), ‘Toasty Treats’ (P570), ‘Friendly family’ (P569), ‘Rustic Recipe’ (P571), ‘Warm Welcome’ (P573), Printed Chipboard (CB116), Wood Flourishes – Birds (FL304), Pearls – Pewter (SB791), Foam Tape, File Set.  Other: Flowers, Leaves, Chipboard Tree, Border Punches, Leaf Punch, Floriano Punch, Chain, Jump Rings, Ink 

The main body of the clock has been covered with ‘Rustic Recipe’.  The ‘fence’ border has been covered with ‘Toasty Treats’, the roof  and scallop border along the bottom with ‘Warm Welcome’  and the scallop trim under the roof with the reverse of ‘Simple Stitches’.  I also added a punched  decorative edge that follows the roof line and one that sits across the bottom of the ‘fence’.  A floral strip from the ‘Simple Stitches’ creates my garden effect that sits over the top of the punched decorative edged.  A chipboard  tree (from my stash) which I covered with ‘Rustic Recipe’, flowers and leaves (from my stash) , Kaisercraft Wood Flourish birds and a ‘Homemade’ chipboard sentiment finish it off.
