Kerryn Lawson
Married for 10 years to my high school sweetheart, up until this year I was a stay at home Mum to my 2 children. After a 7 year break, I returned to the work force this year, albeit part time. I love that I can contribute to the support of our family, but still be there for my children.
I am a self confessed scrapbooking addict, but once upon a time I also enjoyed cross stitching. I still do really, but there just isn’t the time anymore. I love reading. I always have a book (or two) on the go, not to mention a drawer full waiting to be read.

How long have you been scrapbooking for and why did you start? I started scrapbooking about 2 1/2 years ago now. I received a scrapbooking kit as a birthday gift from my husband to record memories of our first family holiday. The poor man had no idea what he’d started! It took me a while to even open the kit and even longer before I dared to cut a piece of paper, let alone a photo. I quickly found I was searching for more embellishments than what the kit held and discovered the online world of scrapbooking. It didn’t take me long to become well and truly hooked.
Where do you get your inspiration from? I find inspiration everywhere. In magazines, on the internet, the papers and photos I want to use, advertisements etc. The list goes on.
Favourite subject to scrap? My favourite subject to scrap would most definitely be my two children. I am never short of gorgeous photos or memories to fill my pages.
One word to describe myself : Loyal.
How would you describe your scrapping style : OMG, I have no idea LOL. I have been described as a chameleon. I love layers and distressing but I enjoy clean and simple layouts just as much. So how would I describe my style….. ever-changing.
Favourite Kaisercraft product? I can’t go past the Pearls & Rhinestones. They always add that perfect finishing touch to a layout.
Favourite Kaisercraft paper range to date? Devonshire. The colours and patterns are just gorgeous.
Favourite quote? I have a little quote book that I love looking through and being inspired by. The one that never fails to put a smile on my face though is a quote from Victor Borge “Laughter is the closest distance between two people”.
Favourite book? Oh there are far too many to just pick one.
Favourite music? It depends on the day. I’m pretty easy going though and like most styles of music.
Favourite food? CHOCOLATE!! (Yes I’m a chocoholic).
Any tips for a new scrapper? I think it’s really important not to compare your work to everyone else’s. Easier said than done, I know, but just remember your pages are perfect as they are because YOU created them.
