Hi, my name is Kirsty, I am a wife and mum to 3 kidlets – 2 girls and a boy- living in a small town in QLD. I work part time as a bank teller and a cleaner and am also studying primary school teaching part time. I have been scrapping for about 6 years now, and love that I now have a room all of my own just to scrap (and make a mess)in!

How long have you been scrapping for: I started scrapping about 6 years ago, just before my little boy was born. I had wanted to rty it out for a while, but was pretty scared, it all looked so daunting! I started because I love pretty papers and wanted to record my family’s memories. It was also initially a way to score some ‘me’ time in a town that has nothing in the way of cafe’s, movie theatres or quiet little spots.
Where do you get your inspiration from: I love blog hopping. There are SO many talented people out there, and blog surfing gets me itching to go and scrap…so does scrap shopping, but the blog surfing is MUCH cheaper!
Favourite subject to scrap: Yeah, its the kids….
One word to describe yourself: tired!
How would you describe your scrapping style: ooooh I always find this a HARD question to answer! I love creating very girly shabby type pages, but also like straight lines and ‘neat’ pages. I love to handcut little details from my favourite patterned papers!
Favourite Kaisercraft product: the bling, no, the papers, no…ARGH! Okay. Final answer…I love the BTP items. They fit together SO well!
Favourite Kaisercraft paper range to date: Each new release I find a new favourite LOL I was madly and forever in love with Devonshire, then found Hey Birdie, and now, I want to get my hands on some Le Chateau! Sorry, can’t commit to just one!
Favourite quote: “Making the decision to have a child – it’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”
—Elizabeth Stone
Favourite Book: I am loving the Sooky Stackhouse series at the moment!
Favourite music: I don’t really listen to music! I know, I know…my husband thinks I am strange too LOL
Favourite food: Can you really beat mum’s lamb roast????
Any tips for new scrappers: I remember I really wanted a torn effect on one of my early pages and I sought someone’s advice on proper technique. I was horrified when they said ‘Just rip it’! I finally worked up the courage and ripped, and it was okay LOL So, new scrappers….its just paper. Experiment. Have fun! Use your favourite papers and embellishments, don’t save them for special!
