How long have you been scrapbooking for and why did you start? I’m not sure to be honest – for many years I was a cardmaker and was never, ever, going to scrapbook – seriously, I didn’t have time, but I had my arm twisted a little and here I am.
Where do you get your inspiration from – from everywhere … from flicking through a magazine, from noseying around the web, new products, colours, texture, from a photo. Everywhere really.
Favourite subject to scrap – it’s not any one thing to be honest, I might come across a photo of the kids and think, yep, must scrap that. I might choose to scrap a photo of one of my friend’s children – they are all adorable wee munchkins. It may be a holiday photo that inspires me. Just recently I scrapped a couple of photos of a rainbow, the photos appealed to me. So definitely no favourite subject as such.
One word to describe yourself? Seriously, one word to describe me, one word … still thinking …
How would you describe your scrapping style? I don’t know that I have a style to be honest – I play, I be a little creative, I like adding things, bits and pieces, flowers and baubles. I’m a bitsers kind of girl. I love lots of layers.
Favourite Kaisercraft Product? Product, singular, crikey … let’s just say that I have a wee thing for flowers!
Favourite Kaisercraft Paper range to date? Now that would be a toss-up between the Chapter One collection and the English Rose collection.
Favourite Quote? Every day is a challenge and some days are more challenging than others … make the most of those challenges.
Favourite book? It took a long time for me to pick up the books from the Twilight series – who knew that vampires and werewolves would be such riveting reading. Normally though I would choose a stack of soppy romance books from the local library.
Favourite Music? A wide variety to be honest, and when I’m home alone with the music cranked up, the neighbours may have had to listen to me singing at the top of my lungs to a little Pat Benatar, Shania Twain, Elton John, Beatles, Air Supply, Little River Band, Pink Floyd, ACDC, Cher … remember I did say a wide variety. I hit the play button on the multi stacker CD player and it’s whatever comes up next. [Perhaps I should scrap that list].
Favourite Food? I can’t go passed a Dixie Chicken at the Lonestar – and if there’s a packet of Sultana Pasties or Chocolate Macaroons anywhere near me [choccie biscuits] – well they aren’t going to last long … if you’re lucky I might share one or two.
Any tips for a New Scrapper? Enjoy yourself creating, there is no right or wrong way and don’t be afraid to mix things up.
