More Candy Shop fun, including quick page!

What could be more enjoyable than scrapping with something so reminiscent of childhood visits to the candy store?

Our newest digital collection is bursting with bright shades of green, blue, pink and orange and versatile elements that brighten up any layout in a flash!

Whether you like buttons or brads, flowers or frames, cute graphics or journalling tags, Candy Shop has everything you need for that fun summer layout, including three massive brush sets, funky transparencies and kooky chocolate brown alphas that perfectly complement every single paper.

Check out Leanne’s creation which boasts enough crazy colours and cheery photos to put a smile on anyone’s dial.

We’re not sure if it’s just us but we can’t stop thinking about wafer ice cream cones thanks to the triangle panels underneath the word “summer”…also loving the way those two little brads are anchoring the ruched ribbon on either side at the bottom. Perfectly balanced but still spontaneous and very creative!

And Sandra’s layout also takes advantage of Candy Shop’s awesome colour selection, with flowers, cute ice cream brushes and layered patterned and plain paper finishing it off.

We just can’t get enough of these eclectic layers and can’t help but be impressed by the confidence with which Sandra combines different patterned papers…we have no idea how she manages to pull it off every time but we’re loving everything about this layout, from the element clusters to the strips of text and angled photo. Divine!

And speaking of all things wonderful, we just can’t go past Katharyn’s very cool Candy Shop creation – using bubbles as a theme (thanks to Santa for bringing her kids a bubble machine!) she’s created circle frames and images of bubbles reflecting swirls of colours in the background.

Katharyn created the frames using a square text path in full version of Photoshop, but she says there’s another way for Photoshop Elements users to get the same effect.

“It’s easy enough to download a layered template which uses a text path and drag it onto your own page,” she sayd.

“Then it’s a case of double-clicking to highlight the text and writing in your own words. Resize and recolour the text to your fancy, until it fits the text path well.”

Simple…one, two, three and you’ve got a text path fit for any kind of layout!

And now, as promised, our brand spanking new quick page by Carole, all ready for your favourite photo to be dropped in – then just print it off and you have a complete layout! It’s just right for all your beach, summer and holiday snaps and will look amazing with a few traditional embellishments added for that extra hybrid touch.

Carole, it looks fantastic and we have to say, we think your quick pages are just getting better and better all the time – we definitely love the title’s alternating colours and the mixture of cool patterns. We can’t get enough of your work!
