Distressed Christmas Baubles – Karen Shady
I loved these christmas baubles, and wanted to decorate them for my Christmas tree. I dont have the traditional green, red and gold tree, mine is blue, pink and silver, so i wanted to stick with those colours to match my other decorations.
I began by painting half of the baubels in Kaisercolour “Sea breeze” and the other half in “White”. When that was dry, I painted all of them with a crackle medium, following the instructions on the label. Once the crackle was touch dry, I painted the baubels again using white paint on the aqua ones, and aqua paint on the white baubels. As the top layer of paint dries, it will start to crackle, and show the paint colour underneath, giving your baubels an aged, shabby look. I then decorated them with kaisercraft pearls, rhinestones, and some organza ribbon to finish them off.
Product used: flourish baubels pack 1 (FL307), flourish baubels pack 2 (FL308), kaisercraft paint, Sea breeze (KC043), White (KC001), organza ribbon-Pink ((RI614), Natural (RI631), Rhinestones-silver (SB700), Snow (SB794), hot pink (SB702), other:Jo Sonja crackle medium, string
