How long have you been scrapbooking for and why did you start? I have been scrapping for 12 years. I started because I was a new mom, and wanted to preserve my family’s photos and memories.
Where do you get your inspiration from? I get inspiration from all over the place! Magazine ads, television commercials, but mostly from other scrappers. I take bits and pieces of ideas from lots of different layouts and adjust them to fit my style.
Favourite subject to scrap – I have been known to scrap just about anything. From an old chair, to a character’s autograph from Disney World. But my pages that mean the most to me are usually about my family.
One word to describe yourself? Creative
How would you describe your scrapping style? New shabby
Favourite Kaisercraft Product? I LOVE all the patterned papers. Just can’t get enough!
Favourite Kaisercraft Paper range to date? Hideaway. The colors are so calming.
Favourite Quote? “Nobody gets in to see the wizard. Not nobody, not no how!” - It is from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and I have it hanging on the door to my scrapbooking office.
Favourite book? I have several favorites, but I just finished the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers and really liked them. I also read scrapbooking magazines and idea books- do those count?
Favourite Music? I grew up loving alot of the European pop from the 80′s, like Depeche Mode and Erasure, but I have just started listening to Country. Keith Urban is my FAVE!!!
Favourite Food? I love grilled shrimp and fish, and spinach salads. But I can’t go a single day without chocolate or Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper.
Any tips for a New Scrapper? Don’t worry about scrapping events out of order. Scrap what fits your mood and inspires you at that moment. You can always go back and fill in with the missing events and photos later.
