How long have you been scrapbooking for and why did you start? I started scrapbooking in August 2005 after visiting family in Australia. It was my niece who introduced me- and I have to confess that I just didn’t get it at first. My daughter wanted to make a LO and it was when I was helping her (she calls it interfering!), that I became hooked!
Where do you get your inspiration from? I can find inspiration from anywhere-art galleries, advertisements, and blogs-not just scrappers blogs, but also mixed media and stamping blogs.
Favourite subject to scrap – I prefer to scrap LO about people-my own family and my ever increasing extended family. I also scrap travel photos, but I still like to include people in these pages.
One word to describe yourself? easygoing
How would you describe your scrapping style? I have an eclectic style. I have a low boredom threshold so like to try new techniques, but I do like to make well embellished pages with attention to detail.
Favourite Kaisercraft Product? On my, where to start.. I love the papers, but I think my favourite products have to be the wood and the new rhinestone flourishes.
Favourite Kaisercraft Paper range to date? Mumma Bushka-they’re so versatile!
Favourite Quote? ‘Just living is not enough,’ said the butterfly. ‘One must have freedom, sunshine and a little flower.’ (Hans Christian Anderson)
Favourite book? Oscar and Lucinda by Peter Carey
Favourite Music? Anything by Amy MacDonald
Favourite Food? Seafood
Any tips for a New Scrapper? Do not use original old photos-get copies made and scrap the copies. Develop your photography skills because the photograph is such an important part of the page. Page sketches are great starting points for layouts. Have fun and experiment with different material and techniques.
