A short paragraph about you - I am a New York City-born and bred gal happily crafting away in my cozy studio/apartment. By day, I am an online marketing nerd and by night, I am a little craft robot. I perpetually held onto “arts & crafts” time from pre-K and never let go, crafting pretty much all my life… but it wasn’t until 2003 that I actually invested in the hobby, buying stamps in large quantities and all kinds of tools and gadgets for scrapbooking. I’m still in love with the craft and I am so thankful to be lucky enough to join the Kaisercraft design team.

How long have you been scrapbooking for and why did you start? The first time I remember having my parents yell at me for cutting up photos (the original small size photos developed from 35mm film), gluing them to “books” made from several sheets of folded colorful construction paper was when I was maybe 7 or 8 years old. Despite my parents disapproval, I never stopped the picture cutting… but I did learn to use only doubles, so I wouldn’t ruin the original photo. At the time, I’m sure I didn’t know the term, scrapbooking, but I guess that’s what I was doing. Fast forward decades later, I’m still doing it and loving it!

Where do you get your inspiration from - I get inspiration from everything! Whether it be scenery, architecture, interior design, fashion, music or anything else, I can draw inspiration from it.

Favourite subject to scrap - I really enjoy scrapbooking the simple everyday moments that inspire me, not just the big events.

One word to describe yourself? Dorky. :)

How would you describe your scrapping style? My style can be described as a contemporary whimsical craft style. I tend to contrast bright contemporary color combos with more traditional craft techniques and art mediums such as stitching, stamping, masking, paper cutting, paper punching, paper weaving, paper folding, and painting with acrylics and watercolor.

Favourite Kaisercraft Product? Oh boy, this really is difficult to narrow down! But if I really must just pick one favorite Kaisercraft product, then I’d have to say any of the alterable wood items such as the Beyond The Page Products and the wood flourish embellishments.

Favourite Kaisercraft Paper range to date? I actually love the combination of both the Lush collection with the After Five collection together. The colors from both collections combined make for beautiful layouts!

Favourite Quote? What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail? — Robert Schuller

Favourite book? Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire

Favourite Music? I enjoy all kinds of music and it all depends on my mood.

Favourite Food? I love all kinds of foods but nothing beats my parents’ home cooking.

Any tips for a New Scrapper? Don’t be a perfectionist, just let your imagination and creativity lead you with no boundaries!
