A short paragraph about you:
I am a mum of two little rascals, Jack is 11 and Emily has just turned 9. We live in a gorgeous beachside suburb in Qld and we love to spend as much time as we can down by the water. I love animals (as in I absolutely ADORE them!), and have fostered hundreds of them over the years. When I’m not out and about with the kids, (or sorting out the animals!) you can usually find me in my craft room. I love everything about scrapbooking, so much so that I even started my own scrapbooking embellishment business called Purple Pumpkin. I have always LOVED Kaisercraft, and it is an absolute dream come true to be on the Kaisercraft Design Team again!!

How long have you been scrapbooking for and why did you start?
I started scrapbooking in 2004, when Em was around 1 year old. I had never been particularly crafty, but scrapbooking had always appealed to me, so when my mum bought me a scrapbooking kit for my birthday, I was totally hooked, and have been obsessed with it ever since. At first it was all about creating some family keepsakes, which it still is, but it’s so much more than that for me now.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I am always totally inspired when I see a new paper range. I always start scrapping with the papers and embellishments and usually add my photo once the layout is underway.
Favourite subject to scrap:
My favourite subject to scrap would have to be my beautiful kids.
One word to describe yourself?
Busy! And I love it!
How would you describe your scrapping style?
Layered and dimensional, but that can change from one layout to the next. I tend to scrap in the style of the papers I am using.
Favourite Kaisercraft Product?
My absolute favourite product would have to be the patterned papers, followed closely by the wooden flourishes and the flowers.
Favourite Kaisercraft Paper range to date?
Sweet Nothings
Favourite Quote?
There are lots of quotes that I love, but especially this one – “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind. “ And I love this one too – “Be the change you want to see in the world”.
Favourite book?
I’ll generally read anything, and I love a huge variety of books, but I do love a good vampire or supernatural book, and generally anything by Dean Koontz.
Favourite Music?
I like pretty much everything really and generally just listen to the radio.
Favourite Food?
Well, that’s got to be chocolate, and I’m also quite fond of cheese and crackers, washed down with a nice glass of wine of course! I generally love any sort of pasta dishes too, like lasagne. Yum! I’ve just started a health kick though, so there’ll be none of that for me for a while. I’m going to have to start loving salads instead!
Any tips for a New Scrapper…
Don’t take it too seriously. It’s meant to be fun, and all about getting your precious photos and memories onto a layout. They don’t all have to be masterpieces. When I first started scrapping, I couldn’t decide whether I should be scrapping in chronological order, or scrapping my latest photos, or should I be starting with the kids baby photos? It really doesn’t matter, so long as you’re having fun and creating pages for you and your family to enjoy. That’s what it’s all about!
