Saturday Sketch Challenge- February #2

For those who are unfamilar with our MONTHLY SATURDAY SKETCH challenge, here’s what happens:

The rules:

Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog. From these sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post, facebook page, the Kaisercraft Gallery etc.

Once your layout is complete and uploaded along with the sketch name/number and month, link your layout into the comments section of the approapriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete!

The deadline:

Comment on this post (or other January sketch posts) with your linked layout before 28th February.

The prize:

1st PLACE: One of Kaisercraft’s new collections (valued at approximately $50).

2nd PLACE: A Kaisercraft scrap pack (including new products) valued at approximately $30.

FEBRUARY SKETCH CHALLENGE #2

This week’s sketch is based on the layout below by Al Hannah’s layout “Life itself is…” – from Kaisercraft’s February Workshop Magazine.

Our Design team have come up with a few layouts also:

Kirsty has changed the 3 photos down the left hand side of the sketch to circles…

And, instead of adding a flourish in the bottom right hand corner, she has handstitched these cute little ‘splash’ accents!

I really wanted to use the sketch and I knew the photos I wanted to use. I guess I had scrappers block as I couldn’t make the sketch work by following it exactly and I couldn’t find the papers to but it was the starting point. I searched and searched my stash as my budget says I can’t buy anything new!
