Sunday Scrap Space – Monika Martinson

Name: Monika Martinson

Nick name: I´ve been called lots of names but I don´t actually have one that is always used by everyone, accept for the nick name my uncle gave me – Vacak, which means  “a tiny little thing” in Hungarian. That is the first thing he called me when I was born and he still does (and now, I´m not at al tiny). On the internet I go by Moma.

Occupation: I work with information.

What I can´t live without when I scrap: Patterned papers, flowers and fluid chalks, my computer.

Where I find inspiration:In magazines, ads, nature, in the papers and materials I work with and of cause from every scrap blog I visit.

On my desk: My computer, sewing machine, my Gazelle, an altered calendar and a few layouts along with other scrap-stuff I never put back in to its space.

Playig on my ipod: Takida and everything else my DH chooses (I´m to lazy to care and we basically listen to same music)

My favourite Item in my scrap room: My flower storage.

And now onto Monika’s gorgeous Scrap room:

We recently re located my scraproom and created one big room where we can work, crate and relax. It is the most used and loved room in our house.  This is my part of the room and this is here I spend most of my time, either working or scrapping. These photos were taken  when we just finished the room. Just between you and me, it definitely  isn´t this tidy today.

I keep my papers in plastic boxes under the desk. Is´t practical cause it takes up little space and are easy to take with me if I go to a crop.  I keep smaller decos and tools in the drawers and in the boxes above the desk.

I use these shelves to store smaller things, they have windows so I won’t need to dust al the time, which is good cause cleaning isn´t my hobby.

These jars hangs behind my monitor. I just have to reach out my hand to get everything I need.

When we remade my scrap space I wanted to be able to see as many of my supplies as possible in order to inspire me to use them. I don´t think I have created a single layout without a ribbon on it since the move.

I´m totally addicted to flowers and If someone took away al the flowers I would stop scrapbooking. This is my absolute favourite Item of my space.

And here’s Monika’s latest layout created at her wonderful scrap space:

Thanks so much for sharing your space Monika – we love it!
