Tuesday Tip – using embroidered badges

Tuesdays Tips 11

Offshore WallHanging, Nikki Antonello. Materials: Kaisercraft Off Shore Paper Collection, Embroidered Badges, Rhinestones, and rhinestone Strips, Butterfly rubon and foam tape.Other: Black thread, Black Gel pen & acetate.

What Nikki says, “I love the embroidered badges and wanted to create something you could hang in your home to be seen all the time.  You could use any one of the different badges and easily adapted the same theme with different paper. I thought this would make a really sweet gift idea for a friend…or just simply change the sentiment, use your favourite quotation….there are lots of possibilities.”

How to make flowers using embroidered badges: Here Nikki has cut our circles and cut a fringe and layered them underneath embroidered badges, curled the edges, and added a ‘stem’ to create unique flowers.

Other ways to use embroidered badges:

On clothing to create one off gifts or wearable clothing for yourself.

They look really great, it could be a great use for all those old swimming badges I’ve got in the back of a drawer somewhere!
