tuesday’s tip #3

Most of you have probably played with layering flowers with materials such as buttons to make flower centers, but have you ever tried altering the petals as well..? Kaisercraft flowers are made of paper, which means that you can treat them as you would any other scrap paper.
Try stamping an image across your flower for a unique look. Kaisercraft rhinestones adhere beautifully for a bit of sparkle, as do small rubons. Glitter and dimensional paint offer a new look to the petals. You could even try stitching tiny cross stitches or even jornaling onto the petals… so get creative and have a little paper flower frenzy!

I have stamped on paper flowers and used buttons as the centers but I have never done journaling on the petals. I’ll give that a try.
Eveline.
Great ideas.
you can also take your flowers and run them through an adhesive machine (I use by baby xyron) face up and then when I want something different either heat emboss it with powder or apply foil or glitter to it….it’s different but that’s what I like about it.
Thank you for the tips, your designers are very talented.
Don’t forget that when you try the journaling idea, you need to use a pen that won’t “bleed” into the paper. Glad you are liking the ideas.
Using different coloured ink pads can add an extra or change the colour of flower. Great technique to blend flowers into a colour scheme you are using on a layout or off the page item.
