Tuesdays Tips – #7

Tuesdays-Tips Nikki Antonello 14-07-09

Once upon a time….we used our stamps largely for the decoration of paper.  Now days the only limit to their use is that of our imagination.  With the release of Kaisercraft’s new acrylic stamp sets to coordinate with each paper collection, the sky really is the limit.  Using the new Duchess collection stamp as Nikki has done or why not try out your own, the card above shows just a couple of quick and easy ways  to use your stamps on different surfaces…..

In Nikki’s own words,

“I love getting the most out of my stamps, and the card I’ve made here using the Duchess stamps shows just a few ways to get the most of our your stamps!”

So why not try your stamps on:

* Ribbon – I’ve used the new grosgrain ribbon and one of the smaller Duchess stamps that comes in a little strip.
* Paper Flowers – Select a flower colour and stamp in a similar colour tone to create a water mark effect or a bold colour to create a contrast.
* Wooden flourishes – Paint the surface first, allow to dry and stamp design over the top.

There are lots of other materials and surfaces you can use stamps to embellish….why not try transparencies, other fabrics, felt…the list is endless.  So have some fun and give it a try!
