Two day Christmas layout Extravaganza – Day 2

Today we’re sharing with you MORE Christmas layouts!!

The first is from Tanya,

“Dear Santa is probably my favourite out of the three Christmas releases.  I love the vintage feel and found it so easy to work with.

My inspiration for this layout came from my three year old son and his love of the Christmas movie “The Polar Express”.  He has watched this movie thousands of times and this is no exaggeration!  He knows all the words off by heart and sings all the songs.  I have to say that one of my favourite songs from the movie is “Believe”.  So I printed the lyrics to “Believe” and have used this as my title and journalling.  The photo was taken at the toy train display in Myer (yes I went to Myer with my camera) and to give the photo more of a vintage feel I printed it onto kraft cardstock.  I then backed it onto the “Pony” patterned paper and curled the edges to make it look like an old newspaper.”

Document your favourite Christmas stories, movies, carols and shop windows!

Next is another layout in Belle, from Fran Tynan,

“Every year I take a photo of my kids to put on our Christmas card and as many of you would know,  it takes about a billion shots – thank god for digital cameras!! But in amongst all those shots I always find lots that are not really the ‘nice’ one that makes it to the front of the Christmas card – but are actually ones that capture the kids personalities and so I want to scrap those one too.

This photo is one of my ‘out-takes’ and it was just *so* my kids – one trying to get in the way and another pushing them out again – which makes me smile so I wanted “I Love you” to be my title and I realized that ‘Love’ was  one of the embroidered badges words, as was the word ‘JOY’ – so if I cut the ‘JOY’ up, I had the ‘y’ and the ‘o’ and with just adding some extra letter stickers in, everything kind of matched.”

Scrap those photo shoot ‘out-take’ photos – capture your children’s personalities!

And last, but not least, Samantha has made a bright and cheery Christmas layout in Christmas Carnival – the perfect collection to capture thedelight in your children’s faces at Christmas time!

“Scrapping Christmas photos can be a little daunting, simply because we take so many!  I think the best thing to do is to just pick a few favourites to scrap and keep the rest in an album.  I always scrap a double layout for the actual day, and plenty of single page layouts that focus on different aspects of Christmas, such as Santa photos, Christmas Eve, Christmas cooking etc. These days I will have often bought my Christmas scrapping papers before the big day, and then I just make sure the kids pj’s match the papers.  I think the Christmas Carnival range is absolutely awesome for scrapping kids Christmas photos.  My pair are always wearing bright colours, and with the pink, green, red and blue in the papers, you really cant go wrong.”
