Wooden Flourish Week – Layouts

This week we’re sharing some projects featuring Kaisercraft’s range of Wooden Flourishes.

Not sure what these are?

Kaisercraft pioneered these fantastic wooden embellishments. They’re made of super thin plywood that you can use on your scapbook pages, off the page projects, cards and more! Leave them like they are or mist them, paint them, ink them and more!

Today we’re looking at some layouts using some of our wooden flourishes:

Lady Grace, “Gwen” layout:

Using wooden flourishes on layouts and other projects are starting to become a trend at the scrapbook industry. Who can resist these gorgeous embellishments? You can use it raw or add other mediums like paint or sand.

For some part of my wooden flourishes, I have added a dab of crackle paint to add texture to it. I even distressed the edges to enhance the its intricate details.

“Natures Beauty” layout by Karen Shady:

I love to use wooden flourishes, I have used a few different techniques to alter them on this layout. I have given the fence and gates a rusty metal look using inks, crackle paint and metalic rub ons. Ive used white crackle paint on the lamp post, and used the same rusty metal technique for the top rail.
