CUPCAKE BIRTHDAY ALBUM FOR A GIRL

This is Kaisercraft Cupcake Album that i decorated for FD's 2nd birthday, used Kaiser sugar sweet papers, the top of the cover is detachable and i covered it with texture paste and mixed it with paint, while still wet i pressed buttons in, i punched small circles that i glued in buttons and put some Kaiser pearls on top of it all. That top front opens up and reveals space for your journalling.The cherry was decorated with papers and glued down using Dimensional magic. The inside pages are decorated with the sugar sweet papers and the tops have been through my cuttlebug, I also cut out the cakes out of the paper and put pink distress stickles and 3D white Paint to enhance the patterns. For the back cover I used 2 of the Candles (as FD turns 2) and used my texture paste again (I had some leftover) and while still wet i pressed down Kaiser rhinestones, for the flame i glued some paper and used pink distress stickles in the middle. Ive got this album and sugar sugar papers and some kaiser pearls and planning on making a cake and treat recipe book. Reading your how you made it has given me the idea of putting the journalling on the back of the front piece too instead of sticking it down. Just got to figure out my headings and how im going to write my headings down.

did you use pva glue to stick the papers to the album? as that was another querey i had before sorting. Im trying to figure out how to make the album the best i can possibley make it. but after seeing yours i definantly feel inspired to get started.

Hi there Boland, the best way to stick paper down is with modpodge (for me anyway), apply to your paper and to your surface, smooth out any air bubbles and let dry, sand away any yacky edges and here you go that's that easy!

i will be deffinantly posting a pic when completed, thinking of starting it tonight. my other half and our mates have gaming sessions on thursdays and i was supposed to be goin with my other half to our mates place as they had got me a number for a babysitter, but its unlikely il be going as i cant get hold of her but if dont go i got this project to get on with and if i do go il probably take it with me
